Impostor is a quick-fire odd-one-out game. Five Solo Leveling characters appear on screen: four share a hidden trait and one does not. The game does not tell you what the trait is, so you have to work out what the four have in common and tap the one who breaks the pattern.

It is a good fit for fans who know the character sheets, because the shared traits come straight from the data: hunter rank, guild, species, nationality, class and power. A round takes seconds, and a strong run can last dozens of rounds if you keep reading the patterns correctly.

How to Play Impostor

Each round shows five portraits. Four of them fit one category, for example S-Rank Hunters, A-Rank Hunters, Hunters Guild members, Shadow Soldiers, Korean Hunters, Human Characters, Fighter Class or characters with high power. Tap the character who does not fit. A correct pick moves you to the next round; a wrong pick ends the run and shows you which category you missed.

Your first run of the day is the Daily run, the one that counts for the daily leaderboard. Every round has a fifteen-second clock, and faster answers score more: a correct pick is worth a third of the seconds left on the clock, with a minimum of one point. If the clock runs out, the run ends. The rounds in the Daily run are the same for every player that day.

You get one extra life per day on the Daily run, so your first mistake can be forgiven. After that you can play two Classic runs, which have no clock at all and come with their own extra life. Classic runs count towards your stats and XP but not the daily board.

Impostor Tips

Check the obvious categories first. Are four of the cards Shadows? Are four of them human? Species is the fastest trait to read from a portrait, so rule it in or out before thinking about rank or guild.

When all five are human hunters, look at rank and guild next. Four S-Rank hunters with one A-Rank, or four Hunters Guild members with a White Tiger hunter among them, is a common pattern. Nationality is the trap: a Japanese or American hunter among four Koreans is easy to miss when they share the same rank.

On the Daily run the scoring favours speed, but a wrong answer costs far more than a slow one. A pick with five seconds left is still worth a point or two; a wrong pick ends everything. Take the extra second when two cards could both be the impostor.
