Pixel shows you a Solo Leveling character's portrait so heavily blurred that it is little more than colour and silhouette. Every wrong guess sharpens the image, and your challenge is to name the character as early as possible. It is a visual game, so hair colour, armour and the outline of a Shadow's helmet matter more than stats.
Each day there are two portraits to guess, one on Easy and one on Hard. Easy uses the characters every fan knows, and Hard reaches into the supporting cast of hunters, monsters and Shadows. Both are dailies with their own leaderboard, and a fast solve on the blurriest image is the best result you can post.
How to Play Pixel
The portrait starts at maximum blur and slightly zoomed in. Type a name or click the search box to see every character, then select your guess. If you are wrong, the blur drops a level and the zoom eases back. You have six attempts, and by your sixth the image is completely clear.
The blur level is shown on screen, so you always know how much detail you are working with. Each wrong guess is listed under the image, which stops you picking the same character twice.
The answer changes at midnight UTC and is shared by every player on the same difficulty. A timer tracks how long you take, your board survives a reload, and you can give up if you want to see the answer. Signed-in players have their attempts and time posted to the daily leaderboard.
Pixel Tips
At full blur, look for colour first. Blonde hair, a red plume, dark armour or the pale skin of a monster survives even the heaviest blur. Cha Hae-In's golden hair and a knight in black armour are very different blobs, so colour alone can rule out most of the roster.
Next, look at shape. Monsters and beasts have silhouettes no human hunter shares, while hunters in suits or casual clothes often have a narrow outline with a light face at the top. Your first guess should be the most likely character in that silhouette group, even if you are not sure.
On Hard, many candidates are Korean hunters with dark hair, and they look alike when blurred. Use the extra detail each step gives you to look at clothing, such as a guild uniform, a coat or heavy armour, before spending a guess on a face.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many guesses do I get in Pixel?
Six. The image gets clearer after every wrong guess and is fully sharp on your final attempt.
Is the image pixelated or blurred?
Blurred. It starts at heavy blur with a slight zoom and sharpens step by step.
What is the difference between Easy and Hard?
Easy uses the most recognisable characters and Hard uses the rest of the cast. They are separate daily puzzles.
When does a new Pixel puzzle appear?
Every day at midnight UTC.
Does refreshing the page reset the blur?
No. Your guesses and your timer are saved for the day, so a reload continues where you left off.
