Solo Leveling DLE is the daily character guesser this site is named after, and the game most people have in mind when they search for a solo leveling dle. Each day one character is hidden and you have eight attempts to guess the Solo Leveling character. Every guess is checked against the answer across seven columns, so even a wrong name tells you something about the hunter, shadow or monster you are chasing.
The roster covers the whole cast: hunters from E-Rank up to National Level, guild masters, civilians, Jinwoo's Shadow soldiers, beasts from the gates, demons and the Monarchs. Easy draws from the faces every fan knows, such as Cha Hae-In, Thomas Andre and Igris, while Hard draws only from the supporting cast. Each difficulty is a separate daily with its own answer, streak and leaderboard on sololevelingdle.
How to Play Solo Leveling DLE
Type at least two letters of a name, or click the search box to browse the full roster, then pick a character. Your guess appears as a row of tiles: Species, Gender, Rank, Affiliation, Nationality, Class and Power.
A green tile is an exact match and a red tile is a miss. Two columns can turn orange. Rank goes orange when your guess sits one step away on the hunter ladder, which runs National Level, S-Rank, A-Rank, B-Rank, C-Rank, D-Rank, E-Rank and finally Non-Hunter. Nationality goes orange when the two share part of a mixed nationality, for example Korean against Korean-American. The Power tile shows your guess's power level with an arrow: up when the answer is stronger, down when it is weaker, and a green check when they are equal.
Three hints unlock as you go. After three guesses you can reveal the answer's affiliation, after five a blurred portrait, and after seven the first letter of the name. A reload keeps your board and your clock. The puzzle resets at midnight UTC, and signed-in players have their attempts and time posted to that difficulty's daily leaderboard.
Tips for Solving Solo Leveling DLE in Fewer Guesses
Species is the biggest early cut. Most of the roster is human, but a sizeable block are Shadows, beasts, demons or Monarchs, and a red Species tile on a human guess tells you straight away that you are looking beyond the hunter guilds. If Species comes back green, Nationality does the next job: Korean hunters are the majority, so a red Korean tile points you to Japan, China, the United States or characters with no nationality at all.
Use the Power arrow like a binary search rather than creeping up one rank at a time. If a mid-tier A-Rank guess points up, jump straight to an S-Rank or National Level candidate next. Affiliation is worth reading closely, because 'None' is a real value shared by many independent hunters and civilians, while Shadow Army, Hunters Guild and White Tiger Guild each narrow the field to a handful of names.
On Hard, take the affiliation hint the moment it unlocks. The supporting cast is full of Korean A-Rank Fighters, and affiliation is usually what separates them.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Solo Leveling DLE free to play?
Yes. It runs free in your browser. An account is only needed for the daily leaderboard.
When does the daily character change?
Every day at midnight UTC. Everyone on the same difficulty gets the same character, so you can compare results with friends.
How many guesses do you get?
Eight. Extra hints unlock after three guesses (affiliation), five guesses (a blurred portrait) and seven guesses (the first letter of the name).
What is the difference between Easy and Hard?
Easy uses the most recognisable characters and Hard uses everyone else. They are separate dailies, so you can play both.
What does an orange tile mean?
A close result: one step away on the rank ladder, or a shared part of a mixed nationality.
