Solo Leveling DLE is inspired by the Wordle formula and applies it to the world of Solo Leveling. Each day a random character from the series — hunter, shadow, monarch, or monster — is chosen as the target. Your mission is to guess their name before running out of attempts.
The game resets every midnight UTC, so every player in the world faces the same character on the same day. Once you solve it, you can compare your attempt count with friends knowing you both worked from an identical puzzle.
The Eight Attributes
Every character in the game is defined by eight attributes: Species (human, shadow, monster, or other), Gender, Hunter Rank (E through National Level), Affiliation (e.g. Hunters Association, Shadow Monarch's Army), Nationality, Hunter Class (fighter, mage, healer, etc.), National Level (whether they are a National-Level Hunter), and Power Direction (rising, falling, or stable relative to the target).
After each guess, every attribute cell is coloured green (exact match), yellow (partially correct or in range), or red (no match). Use these clues to narrow down the character with each guess.
Colour Code Reference
Green means the guessed value is an exact match with the target character's attribute.
Yellow means you are close but not exact. For numeric or ranked attributes like Hunter Rank, yellow with an up arrow means the target ranks higher; yellow with a down arrow means the target ranks lower. For categorical attributes like Affiliation, yellow means a partial overlap.
Red means the attribute is completely different from the target. Eliminate any character that shares the same value.
Power Direction — What Does It Mean?
The Power Direction attribute is unique to Solo Leveling DLE. It reflects whether the character's power trajectory over the story is ascending (↑), descending (↓), or static (=). For example, Sung Jinwoo consistently rises throughout the series, while defeated monarchs have a descending arc.
This attribute is particularly useful for distinguishing characters who otherwise share similar ranks, affiliations, and species. Pay attention to story context when using this clue.
Best Opening Guesses
Start with well-known S-Rank Korean hunters like Sung Jinwoo or Choi Jong-in. They cover a common combination of attributes — human, male, S-Rank, Korean — and their result immediately tells you whether the target is a hunter or something else entirely.
If the nationality comes up red, pivot to characters from China, Japan, or the USA in your next guess. If species comes up red, shift to shadows or monarchs for guess three. Building a decision tree across species, nationality, and rank will get you to the answer in four guesses or fewer most of the time.
